Our Lodge
The lodge was started on November 11, 1846 under the name Unity Lodge NO. 48 A.F. & A.M. We were the 48th lodge to be established in Illinois and the first to be established in Kane County. We are currently the second oldest active lodge in the Chicago land Area. The lodge goes hand in hand with the history of St. Charles & West Chicago as a community for the past 176 year as of 2022. Many of the brethren were prominent in St. Charles & West Chicago affairs in those early days. The list of past masters is a veritable roll of honor of prominent St. Charles & West Chicago citizens.
